I have this olive taffeta fabric that I really like. I have made a wedding guest dress with this fabric before and I have always wanted to make a clutch to go with it. So this is the result! I designed it, made the patterns and made the bag. It has a zippered top. The inside of the bag is lined with black broadcloth and has 2 pockets. I decorated the clutch with a purple brooch. I like the green/purple combination.
I made this for my girlfriend as a gift. I hope she likes it!
[this is good] Just curious: how did you find time to do all these sewing projects? Are you still sewing baby stuff? I see that you have been sewing accessories now. The bags you made look really good! I'm sure your girlfriend will like this clutch you made her. It's not like anything she can buy in the stores.
For your next project, may be you can custom design a diaper bag too!
Keep those projects coming. I really enjoy reading them.

Hmmm....good question. I thought I would go all out now with all the sewing before I have children because I figure I wouldn't have any time for sewing for a few years after that!
I still have a few baby sewing projects on the go. Sewing accessories like hats and bags are basically 'instant gratifications' because they can usually be accomplished in a few hours.
I'm not sure if I would be making diaper bags because I already have lots of other bags with different compartments that I can use. And a friend of mine already gave me her diaper bag.
